Man shot dead in North Philly

A man in his 40s was fatally shot in North Philadelphia tonight, police said.

At 7:47 p.m., the unidentified man was shot twice in the chest in the area of Lawrence and Norris Streets, police said. The victim was transported by police to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead at 8:25 p.m.

Police said the assailant fled the scene in a maroon Ford F250 truck.
