In the second alleged sexual assault to have occurred over the weekend at the University of Pennsylvania, officials confirmed today that a female student alleged an acquaintance rape at the Ivy League campus.
The student reported that she was raped inside a residence in the 200 block of South 39th Street early Sunday by a male student she knows, said university spokeswoman Phyllis Holtzman.
"Penn police have spoken to both students about the incident. The complainant declined to press charges," Holtzman said.
A 20-year-old Penn student alleged that she was raped at a Phi Kappa Sigma party at their house on campus early Saturday. Philadelphia police today said no arrest had been made in that case.
