2 homicide victims identified
Police have released the names of a man who was fatally shot yesterday morning and another who died Saturday after being shot on Sept. 7.

Yesterday, Walter Martinez, 22, of the 600 block of McClellan Street, was gunned down about a block from where he lived in South Philadelphia.
He was shot four or five times in the chest or torso shortly before 4:30 a.m. in the 1800 block of South Seventh Street.
Martinez was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:43 a.m.
On Saturday, Harry Williams, 58, died of wounds suffered on Sept. 7 at his residence in the 300 block of North 62d Street in West Philadelphia. In critical condition after the shooting, he remained at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was pronounced dead at 11:42 a.m.
Dead at the scene was Gregory Jarvis, 34, of the 100 block of Millennium Drive in Blandon, a town about 10 miles northeast of Reading. He was pronounced dead from multiple shots at 3:42 p.m.
Police have made no arrests in these shootings.
