Cherry Hill man claims $4.6 million jackpot

On Sept. 21, a New Jersey's Pick 6 jackpot touted at $7.25 million was won by a single ticket purchased at a 7-Eleven on Kings Highway in Cherry Hill.

The winner came forward a few weeks later, and last week the cash payout - $4.6 million, before taxes - was awarded without fanfare.

At least publicly.

Chances are the new millionaire - Bruce Potter of Cherry Hill - did a bit of celebrating privately.

Lottery officials had no details about how Potter picked the numbers or what plans he has for his new wealth.

The claim was even news to the convenience store near Chapel Avenue, a relative of the owner said this afternoon.

The store was to get $2,000 just for selling the ticket, according to a lottery official.

The jackpot was the second biggest of the year for Pick 6, which has an annuity jackpot of $5.7 million up for grabs in Monday's drawing.

The only bigger jackpots around are the $63 million annuity on the line tonight night in Mega Millions (sold in New Jersey and 11 other states) and the $80 million tomorrow night in Powerball (sold in Pennsylvania, Delaware and 29 other states).

$200,000 Powerball winner in Montco. The Pennsylvania ticket that won $200,000 in Wednesday night's Powerball drawing was sold at the Sunoco gas station at 812 Huntingdon Pike in Rockledge, according to lottery officials.

The ticket matched the first five numbers - 10, 11, 14, 45 and 51 - but missed the Powerball of 17.

$2.5 million won in Super 7. Last Friday's Super 7 drawing jackpot was won by a single ticket, but it was sold in the western Pennsylvania town of McKeesport. The ticket matched 7 of these 11 numbers: 2, 3, 15, 19, 38, 43, 49, 62, 67, 69 and 73.
