A 2-year-old Delran boy was killed Monday night when a television set fell on him in a bedroom at his home, police said today.
The toddler, whose name was not released by Delran police, apparently was looking for a movie when a bureau, and the videocassette recorder and TV on top of it, tipped onto him. One of his parents and two siblings, ages 4 and 8, heard the crash and rushed to the room, Detective Sgt. Jeffrey Hubbs said.
The child was pronounced dead at Cooper University Hospital about 8 p.m. "It appears to be accidental," Hubbs said. "Tragic, but accidental."
