Police are investigating separate shootings last night that left two teenagers critically wounded.

The first shooting occurred about 7 p.m. when a 16-year-old boy was wounded in the hip, arm and abdomen on Myrtlewood Street near Cumberland Street in Strawberry Mansion, police said.

The youth was rushed to Temple University Hospital, where police said he was in critical condition this morning.

At 11:35 p.m., a 15-old-boy was wounded in the stomach and the hand when gunfire erupted on the 600 block of West Venango Street.

The victim was rushed to nearby St. Christopher's Hospital and police said he remained in critical condition this morning.

Neither victim was identified.

Police have not reported any possible motives in either shooting and no arrests have been made.
