Man shot tonight in Center City

A 48-year-old man was shot tonight at 11th and Market Streets in Center City, police said.

Shortly before 9 p.m., the man was shot once in the left shoulder on Market just west of 11th, police said. He was transported by police to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

Police arrested at least one suspect and recovered a weapon from the scene, police said. No motive for the shooting was immediately reported.
