Willingboro woman charged in son's death

A Willingboro woman was charged with murder today for allegedly beating to death her 21-month-old son, Collins Bulluck Jr.

Tia Welles, 23, was taken into custody at the Burlington County Jail, with bail set at $750,000.

The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office said emergency workers responded Sept. 10 to a report of an unresponsive child at Welles' Ridgeview Place home. Bulluck was pronounced dead at Cooper University Hospital in Camden the following day.

An autopsy determined the child died as a result of being beaten, authorities said.
