Mary D. Pellegrino, 86, was found "unresponsive" in her Pine Road home Sunday afternoon by a handyman who had worked for her.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Pellegrino had been dead for several days and had not died of natural causes, said District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman.
Yesterday, Pellegrino's death was ruled a homicide caused by blunt force trauma by the Montgomery County Coroner's Office.
