The Powerball and Mega Millions lottery jackpots are now both nearing $100 million.
The Powerball annuity jackpot went up to $95 million ($46.1 million cash option) last night after no one had a ticket matching the first five numbers - 4 17 35 50 57 - and the Powerball 12.
Surprisingly, no one in any of the 41 states where Powerball is played, plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands, had the first five numbers to win a second tier prize.
Mega Millions has the bigger jackpot at $99 million ($60.6 million cash option).
Mega Millions has not had a jackpot winner since Jan. 29. The next drawing for that game is tomorrow night.
The next drawing for Powerball, which has not had a jackpot winner since Feb. 6, is Saturday night.
Both games are played in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
