A Delaware County man pleaded guilty today for his role in 70 suburban burglaries in four counties.
A Delaware County man pleaded guilty today for his role in 70 suburban burglaries in four counties.
Thomas J. Crossley, 39, of Upper Darby, was sentenced on five of the burglaries and two armed robberies. He received 10 to 30 years in prison, with 10 years' probation.
Two other men, a father and son, also were charged in connection with the burglary ring. Between September 2008 and January 2009, the three burglarized homes and stole items valued at more than $500,000 to support their heroin habits, police said.
John D. Cartlidge Sr., 42, of Akron, Lancaster County, pleaded guilty in 2009, and is scheduled to be sentenced later this month. John D. Cartlidge Jr., 22, of Clifton Heights, pleaded guilty in 2009 to theft and was sentenced to four to 23 months.
