Police were searching Wednesday for an Upper Darby resident wanted on child-pornography charges.

Jose Oyarzun, 40, is accused of possessing and distributing the illicit material after police discovered more than 74 images on his computer, said detective Lisa Carroll of the Delaware County Criminal Investigation Task Force.

He has also been charged with criminal use of a communication facility.

Oyarzun is an employee of Cooper University Hospital in Camden, police said. A supervisor at the hospital could not confirm his employment there.

Police said Oyarzun has not shown up for work since police searched his residence Feb. 16 and is now believed to have fled the area.

Police said they believe Oyarzun is traveling with his wife, 4-year-old daughter, and 13-year-old son in a dark-colored 1994 Pontiac coupe with Pennsylvania plates.
