One man was killed and three other people were wounded when gunfire erupted this morning at a bar in North Philadelphia, police said.
It is not yet clear if the bloodshed was the work of one or more shooters.
Chief Inspector Scott Small said it appeared that before the rampage began about 1:45 a.m. an assailant disarmed a security guard at Lid's bar on the 4400 block of North 15th Street on the Nicetown-Logan line.
When the shooting was over, one man was dead and three other people - the bouncer, a man, and a woman - were wounded.
The slain man, who was about 20 years old - was shot in the back of the head and twice in the chest, police said. He was pronounced dead at 2:04 a.m. at Temple University Hospital.
The other victims were taken to the Albert Einstein Medical Center, where the bouncer was in critical condition with gunshot wounds to the head, neck and shoulder, police said.
A 24-year-old man who was shot in the leg was in serious condition while a woman was in good condition, also with a leg wound, police said.
Police are looking into the possibility the bloodshed was triggered by a fight earlier in the evening.
