A three-vehicle accident on the Ben Franklin Bridge this morning left at least five people with minor injuries, according to the Delaware River Port Authority.

The accident occurred about 10:30 a.m. on the westbound lane of the bridge heading into Philadelphia.

Emergency medical services from Philadelphia were called to assist the DRPA, and took four of the injured to Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

The pile-up caused traffic to back up on the bridge in both directions for about a half hour. By 11 a.m., things were back to normal, DRPA spokewoman Danelle Hunter said today.
