Abduction was a bachelor party prank

Philadelphia police said Wednesday night that a report of an abduction earlier in the day turned out to be a bachelor party prank.

Lt. Frank Vanore said police determined that all parties were safe.

Earlier Wednesday, police began investigating a reported kidnapping in the parking lot of a restaurant along the Delaware River and released photos of a van that supposedly was used in the incident.
