Body found in lake may be missing man

A body discovered Friday afternoon in Lake Galena in Bucks County is believed to be that of a 63-year-old area man who went missing Tuesday while fishing in a kayak, officials said.

A body discovered Friday afternoon in Lake Galena in Bucks County is believed to be that of a 63-year-old area man who went missing Tuesday while fishing in a kayak, officials said.

The body was located about 12:30 p.m. in the northeast part of the lake by a Bucks County ranger, officials said. The body is believed to be the missing man, whose identity has not been released. The Bucks County Coroner's Office will make the final determination.

The Bucks County man was reported missing around 9 p.m. Tuesday at the lake near Doylestown. Philadelphia police sent a helicopter to search the lake with a spotlight and they found the man's kayak and fishing gear.
