Man shot and killed in West Philly

A man in his 20s was shot to death Friday night after an apparently botched drug deal and exchange of gunfire in West Philadelphia, police said.

Police were called at 9:11 p.m. to the 5400 block of Baltimore Avenue where the victim was found in front of a house with gunshot wound to his head and arm, police said. A medic unit pronounced him dead at the scene at 9:19 p.m.

Police said the victim had a gun and may have fired at the two gunmen who shot him. Police were checking area hospital for gunshot victims.    Robert Moran
