Man found shot dead in N. Phila.

Police are investigating the slaying of a man found shot dead on a North Philadelphia street this morning.

The victim, who appeared to be in his late 30s or early 40s, was shot in the face, head and back, police said,

He was found about 3:55 a.m. on the 3000 block of West Dakota Street in the Strawberry Mansion section, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene 4:08 a.m.
