Man shot at East Mount Airy gas station

A 25-year-old man was shot in the chest and critically wounded during a robbery at a gas station in the city’s East Mount Airy section Tuesday night, police said.

The shooting occurred about 7:40 p.m. at Stenton and East Mount Airy Avenues, police said. The victim was confronted by two perpetrators in their 20s.

The victim was rushed by a 14th District patrol car to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition, police said. No arrests were reported.
