Point Breeze homicide victim identified

Police have identified a man slain when two attackers opened fire with semiautomatic rifles on a South Philadelphia street early Thursday.

He was Joseph Addison, 22, of the 2200 block of Sigel Street.

Addison was fatally wounded about 3:10 a.m. when two men charged out of a side street and opened fire with semiautomatic rifles on the 1200 block of South 21st Street in the Point Breeze section.

The crime scene was littered with shell casings afterward.

Police say they are still seeking a motive.
