A Camden man is to be arraigned on charges of murder today in a shooting death that grew out of a feud sparked by an argument between the suspect's daughter and her boyfriend.

The victim, Avner Daniels, 32, was the brother-in-law of the unidentified boyfriend.

Charged and in custosy is Ronnie Rogers, 49, of the 100 block of 27th Street. His wife, Debra Rogers, 48, also has been charged with murder but is a fugitive.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office provided the following account:

The Rogers couple drove to their 28-year-old daughter's apartment on 32nd Street about 7 p.m. Saturday in response to an argument she was having with her boyfriend.

The boyfriend had left when the couple arrived but his sister and her husband, Daniels, were in a car and about to leave.

The appearance of the parents reignited the dispute and Ronnie Rogers and the victim started arguing.

The two men then began to tussle when Rogers reached for a handgun in his waistband.

At about the same, Rogers' daughter took another gun from her parents' car and fired several shots into the air.

Debra Rogers then grabbed the gun from her daughter and shot Daniels several times. Ronnie Rogers also pumped several bullets into Daniels before fleeing.

Daniels was dead before police arrived.

Police arrested Ronnie Rogers in a car on 20th Street shortly after the shooting and charged him with murder.

Police are still looking for his wife.
