Police are investigating the shooting deaths of three people at an Atlantic County condominium complex.

Police are investigating the shooting deaths of three people at an Atlantic County condominium complex.

At approximately 7:30 p.m Sunday, police responded to 2715 Evergreen Court in the Woodlands complex in Hamilton Township's Mays Landing section for a 911 report of shots fired, said Atlantic County First Assistant Prosecutor Murray Talasnik said.

Inside, police found three people dead from apparent gunshot wounds, said Talasnik, who would release no further details.

Hamilton Township Police and the prosecutor's office major crimes unit are conducting the investigation. The Atlantic County Office of Emergency Managment is assisting to help investigators process the crime scene.

Brenda Morrison, the property manager for the Woodlands Community Association, said she was called by police to the condominium Sunday night.

Morrison said it appeared that a woman, the woman's 15-year-old son and the woman's sister were dead. Morrison said a police detective told her it was a triple homicide.

Morrison said a 2-year-old boy also lived at the condominium and he did not appear to be injured. Neighbors told Morrison the young boy was carried out of the condominum by police.

Morrison said the two-bedroom condominium along a quiet wooded street is owned by a 45-year-old woman.

"I heard neighbors say she was a lovely woman who went to work every day...she was a very pretty girl," said Morrison. She said he woman has owned the dwelling for about two years and according to records lives there with her two sons.

There are 766 units at the complex, which opened in the 1970s.
