First-grader struck by bus in Chester Co. dies
A 6-year-old boy struck by a school bus last week in Chester County has died. The boy, a first grader at Pickering Valley Elementary School, had been hospitalized in critical condition at the Alfred I. dPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington. The news was posted on the school website today. The school and police have not disclosed the name of the boy.

Upper Uwchlan Township police said the child appeared to have darted in front of the bus at 3:50 p.m. June 16 as school let out. They did not identify the bus driver.
The Pickering Valley school will offer counceling services to students and families on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
