One man was killed and other seriously wounded in a shooting this afternoon in the city's Logan section.

One man was killed and other seriously wounded in a shooting this afternoon in the city's Logan section.

The two men were standing on the 4900 block of N. Marvine Street about 1:50 p.m. when unidentified gunmen approached and opened fired, police said.

A man in his 20s, who was shot in the chest and hand, was pronounced dead about 2:20 p.m. at Albert Einstein Memorial Hospital. A 35-year-old man was reported to be in stable condition at Einstein with wounds to his buttocks and lower back, police said.

Police, who recovered a handgun in a trashcan near the shooting, have no suspect or motive.
