Man shot to death in North Phila.

A 29-year-old man was fatally shot in North Philadelphia Thursday evening, police said.

The man was shot in the left chest and right arm in the area of 10th and Brown Street shortly before 6:30 p.m., police said. He was rushed to Hahnemann University Hospital in a 6th Police District patrol car and was pronounced dead at 7:01 p.m.

The man's name was not released, but he lived in West Oak Lane. Witnesses told police the shooter may have fled the scene in a silver Chevrolet Lumina with Pennsylvania tags.
