Two months before Philadelphia's first gambling venue is scheduled to open, SugarHouse Casino took delivery this morning of its first slot machines.

The slots arrived in a sealed truck, which was opened under the watch of officials from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

The casino on the Delaware River waterfront in Fishtown plans to open the week of Sept. 20 with 40 table games and 1,602 slot machines.

SugarHouse, built on the site of the former Jack Frost sugar refinery, will become Pennsylvania's 10th casino when it opens.

The fate of Philadelphia's second casino remains up in the air.
