Three Philadelphia men were killed early Sunday morning in a one-vehicle accident on the Atlantic City Expressway in Winslow Township.
Bernard L. Sanford Jr., 20, was driving westbound in a gray Saab with Stephen Baxley, 23, and Steven Blount, 22. He lost control of the car near milepost 39.7 in Camden County. The car spun into the left lane and off the left side of the road, where it smashed into several trees in the median.
None of the occupants was wearing a seat belt. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.
"There's no immediate indications of why the accident occurred," Jones said.
