Police are investigating a shooting that left two men wounded in South Philadelphia Tuesday night.

The gunfire erupted about 11:30 p.m. on the 2100 block of South 28th Street, near Snyder Avenue, police said.
Bullets struck a 26-year-old man in the wrist and finger and slugs ripped into the left arm, chest and right leg of a 23-year-old man, police said.
Both men were taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where the former was reported in stable condition and the latter was in serious condition.
Police said they were looking for a single gunman.
The motive is not yet clear.
