Woman charged with rape of boy, 11

A Delaware woman was arrested Wednesday and charged with raping an 11-year-old boy, police said.

Cassandra Epperson, 19, was babysitting five children in Felton on Aug. 20 when police said she followed the boy to a bathroom and sexually assaulted him.

The boy later told his mother who contacted state police. On Wednesday, troopers took Epperson into custody and charged with 1st degree rape, unlawful sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child.

Epperson was being held on $2,000 bond today at the Dolores J. Baylor Women's Correctional Institute, troopers said.
