Toddler killed by car exiting driveway

A 17-month-old was struck and killed Sunday afternoon by a car pulling out of a driveway on County House Road in Sewell, police said.

The boy was walking behind the car, driven by Brad Osborn, 37, a Washington Township resident visiting the child's parent, police said. Osborn was unaware the boy was behind his vehicle, police said.

Emergency responders transported the toddler to Cooper University Hospital, where he died of internal injuries.

No charges have been filed. "At this point, it looks like a terrible accident," said Washington Township police Capt. Richard Leonard.    - Mike Newall
