Man fatally struck by vehicle in Northeast

A 60-year-old man died after getting hit at a vehicle late Wednesday afternoon in Northeast Philadelphia, police said.

The man was struck at 5:06 p.m. when he stepped into traffic in the 1300 block of Cottman Avenue, said Officer Tanya Little. He was transported by a medic unit to Jeanes Hospital in Northeast Philadelphia where he was pronounced dead at 5:26 p.m.

The motorist stopped at the scene, Little said.
