Teen killed near where 2 others found dead

A teenage girl was fatally shot Wednesday evening about a block away from where two other people were found killed in an apartment earlier in the day in the city's Brewerytown section.

The girl, believed to be 15 to 18 years old, was shot once in the chest and once in the stomach about 7:20 p.m. at the corner of 30th and Jefferson Streets, said Officer Tanya Little.

The teen was rushed in a police vehicle to Temple University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 7:41 p.m.

Police were searching for another teenage girl, possibly 19, who was was described as wearing gray overalls.

A gun was recovered at the scene, police said.

Earlier in the afternoon, a man and woman were found shot to death inside a a second-floor apartment in 3000 block of Redner Street at 2:35 p.m., police said.

Both had been shot multiple times. They were pronounced dead at the scene at 2:50 p.m.

No arrests were reported.
