An 18-year-old girl was fatally shot Wednesday evening about a block from where two people had been found slain in an apartment earlier in the day in the city's Brewerytown section.

Police said Tanisha McIntyre, of the 1900 block of North 25th Street, was shot in the chest and back about 7:20 p.m. at 30th and Jefferson Streets.

A police vehicle took the victim to Temple University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 7:41 p.m.

Police were searching for a young woman, about 19-years-old, who was described as wearing gray overalls.

Police recovered a gun at the scene.

At 2:25 p.m., a man and a woman, both 24-years-old, were found with multiple gunshot wounds in a second-floor apartment in the 3000 block of Redner Street, police said. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police suspect robbery was the motive and were searching for a group of men who left the building and drove off in a car.

The female victim was identified this morning as Petranella London, of Brooklyn, N.Y. The name of the man has not yet been released.

Several neighbors reached by phone said a man lived in the building, but they did not know him because he had not lived there long.

"I'm very disturbed by this," said one elderly resident who did not want to be identified.
