One dead in house fire

One person died early Saturday in a house fire in Southwest Philadelphia that led to the evacuation of several neighboring homes.

A Fire Department official said the fire occurred about 2:30 a.m. inside a two-story row house on the 600 block of 57th Street. The victim has not been identified.
