Woman hit by vehicle in Center City

A 52-year-old woman was in critical condition Tuesday night after being struck by a automobile in Center City, police said.

The accident occurred at 18th and Chestnut Streets around 6 p.m., said Officer Jillian Russell. The woman was transported to Hahnemann University Hospital.

The driver of vehicle did not flee the scene and no charges are expected.
