Man shot to death in W. Phila.

A 30-year-old man was fatally shot Wednesday night in West Philadelphia, police said.

At 8:48 p.m., the man, whose name was not released, was shot once in the head in the area of Millick and Arch Streets, said Officer Jillian Russell. He was transported by a medic unit to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and was pronounced dead at 9:22 p.m.

A witness told police that six males fled from the scene when the shooting occurred. No arrests were reported.
