A small fire led to the evacuation of about 110 guests Monday night from the Crown Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill, authorities said.

At 8:04 p.m., an electrical fire was reported on the second floor of the 14-story hotel at 2349 West Marlton Pike, police said.

The hotel was cleared out and the guests were transferred to the Holiday Inn at 2175 Marlton Pike. That hotel is operated by the same group that runs the Crowne Plaza.

Police said the fire was put out and the guests might be allowed to return to the Crowne Plaza.

Police said no injuries had been reported in the first few hours after the fire.

Hotel officials could not be reached for comment Monday night.
