Traffic restrictions lifted on Rt. 1 Twin Bridges

Construction-related travel restrictions have been lifted on the Route 1 Twin Bridges over the Schuylkill in Philadelphia, PennDot announced today.

The move comes as $10.7 million project to rehabilitate the spans nears completion after nearly a year of work.

Crews will finish the project by working under the bridges over the next two months to improve drainage, PennDot said.

The bridges carry 109,000 vehicles a day.
