A Delaware County man wanted for allegedly shooting a gun into a crowded nightclub and wounding three people, has been arrested and extradited back to Pennsylvania from Delaware, police announced on Monday.
A Delaware County man wanted for allegedly shooting a gun into a crowded nightclub and wounding three people, has been arrested and extradited back to Pennsylvania from Delaware, police announced on Monday.
Ronald Thomas Womack, Jr., 32, of Chester, was charged with criminal attempt at homicide, aggravated assault, and recklessly endangering another person, according to court documents. He was arraigned and held on $500,000 cash bail, police said.
On Feb. 20, Womack allegedly argued with another patron at the Roosevelt Social Club at 1936 W. McDade Blvd., pulled a gun and began firing. He missed his intended target but hit others, police said.
Lt. Scott Willoughby, of the Ridley Township police said they received an anonymous tip that Womack was staying with friends in Wilmington. He was arrested on Feb 28 by a SWAT team.
