Chester police say they have found a pot farm in the basement of a former Rite Aid drug store.
Around 9:40 a. m., police received a call for a burglary in progress. When they arrived at the vacant building at 128 24th Street, police found a door to the premises ajar.
In the basement they discovered a "nice size" grouping of marijuana plants, according to Deputy Chief Darren Alston.
"We are trying to figure out whose operation this is and who had knowledge of it," Alston said. Investigators are trying to contact the building's owner, he said.
