Point Breeze slaying victim identified

Investigators are still seeking a motive in the shooting death of a man on a street in South Philadelphia's Point Breeze section Wednesday afternoon.

The victim was identified today as Jaycee Powell, 23, of the 5700 block of North 16th Street in North Philadelphia's Ogontz section.

Powell was shot in the groin, chest and mouth about 12:45 p.m. on the 1600 block of Reed Street and pronounced dead a short time later at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
