A man was fatally shot Tuesday night in the city's East Germantown section, police said.

The man, described as in his late 20s, was shot twice in the back shortly before 11 p.m. and was found in the 400 block of East Cosgrove Street, police said. He may have been shot at the corner of Cosgrove and Belfield Avenue and staggered down the block before collapsing.

Police rushed the man to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 11:17 p.m. There were no immediate reports of arrests.
