Woman killed in disabled car struck on I-95
A 32-year-old Ewing Township, N.J., woman was killed Tuesday when her disabled 1997 Mitsubishi Galant was hit on the Scudder Falls Bridge near Yardley, according to police.
A 32-year-old Ewing Township, N.J., woman was killed Tuesday when her disabled 1997 Mitsubishi Galant was hit on the Scudder Falls Bridge near Yardley, according to police.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a Pennsylvania State police report. Her name was being withheld until her family could be notified.
According to the report, the victim's car was hit in the right northbound lane of I-95 by a 2009 GMC Yukon driven by Steven A. Wildeman of Franklin Park, N.J. Wildeman was unable to stop or avoid the disabled Galant, hitting it in the rear about 6 p.m.
Wildeman and his passenger, Jennifer Wildeman, were taken to St. Mary Medical Center, police said.
The accident is under investigation, and State Police at the Trevose barracks are asking anyone who may have seen the crash or has information to call Trooper Carrie A. Gula at 215-942-3900.
