Hottest day till spring?

Today's high could fall short of the forecast 86, but this could still be the warmest day till spring.

As of shortly before 2 p.m., the temperature at the airport was 81 - a figure never topped from last October till April.

It never even hit 70 from November through February.

This week calls for highs to drop into the 70s the rest of the workweek, then into the 60s over the weekend.

Rain is possible Tuesday night, likely Wednesday and Thursday, and possible again on Friday.

Saturday and Sunday look to be mostly sunny.

The record for Oct. 10 is 90 degrees - the latest date on the calendar to get that high.

Normal for Oct. 10 is a high of 68 with a low of 51.

A couple of dates in late October even have record highs as low as the upper 70s.
