Man in stable condition after being shot in mouth

A 30-year-old man was in stable condition after being shot in the mouth Monday night in West Philadelphia, police said.

The shooting occurred about 8 p.m. at Hobart and Race Streets, police said. The victim was being treated at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
