A man was struck and killed by an NJ Transit River Line train Tuesday evening in Burlington County, an agency spokesman said.
The man was hit by a southbound light-rail train at 6:07 p.m. just north of the Florence station, said NJ Transit spokesman John Durso. The man, whose age was not available, died at the scene.
Service was halted for two hours between the Florence and Roebling stations, Durso said. No one was injured on the train. The incident is under investigation.
