A man who was wearing two earrings in each ear is being sought in the gunpoint sexual assault of a 32-year-old woman in Center City.
The assailant approached the victim from behind about 1:30 a.m. Dec. 7 on the 100 block of North Mole Street, near the Central Friends Meeting House, and assaulted her in a nearby courtyard, police said.
The attacker is described a black male with a medium brown complexion who is 5-feet, 8-inches to 5-feet, 10-inches tall, weighs 150 to 180 pounds and has an athletic build.
Police said he was clean shaven and had two medium-sized hoop earrings in each ear.
He was armed with a black semiautomatic handgun and at the time of the attack was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt or jacket, white shirt and dark colored denim jeans.
The victim did not suffer serious physical injuries in the attack, police said.
