Manhunt on in Montgomery County fatal shooting

A 25-year-old man was shot multiple times inside a Cheltenham Township home early Christmas Day, and died less than an hour later.

Officers found the victim about 2 a.m. inside a home on the 1400 block of Beech Avenue in the Melrose Park section. He was transported to Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 2:26 a.m. Police said the victim, whose name has not been released, was a visitor at the home.

The suspect in the shooting is still at large, and is described by police as a black male, armed with a semi-automatic handgun and wearing an Adidas sweatshirt. He was seen driving a gray, late-model sedan that was later found on the 6700 block of Old York Road in Philadelphia.
