The shooting death of musician Daniel DeGennaro inside his Bucks County home has been ruled a homicide.
Bristol Township Police responding to a report of a shooting found the 56-year-old songwriter, guitarist, and singer dead with a wound to the chest Wednesday night.
Matthew D. Weintraub, chief deputy Bucks County district attorney, said Friday the death had been determined to be a homicide and that he DeGennaro had been killed as a result of a shotgun blast.
He said investigators were pursuing a number of leads, but he declined to discuss a possible motive or whether a weapon had been recovered.
On Thursday, District Attorney David W. Heckler said another man living in the house on Crabtree Lane in Levittown told police he discovered the musician moments after the shot rang out.
The man ran to a neighbor's house and the two returned to DeGennaro's home, where they called police.
