A South Jersey man pleaded guilty today to killing a single mother inside her Bordentown Township apartment.

Noel Irizarry, 41, of Hamilton Township, confessed he strangled his girlfriend Misty D. Ramos, 31, during a violent argument at the Bradford Point Apartments on Nov. 7, said Joel Bewely, spokesman for the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office.

Ramos, the mother of a 9-year-old daughter, was found dead by her sister after failing to pick up the child, authorities said.

In exchange for pleading to one count of aggravated manslaughter, Irizarry will serve 30 years in prison. He must serve 85 percent of the sentence before he is eligible for parole.
